Harare Institute of Technology is a Technopreurial and Technology University situated in Belvedere, Harare, Zimbabwe. established in 2005. Initially, it was started as a National Vocational Training Centre (NVTC). Overtime, it evolved into a Technical College offering courses in automotive, electrical, and mechanical engineering, producing artisans capable of operating and maintaining machinery in industry with little or no research or generation of new technology related knowledge.

The school was founded in 1997 by Mr David Austin, Mrs Janet Austin, Mr Tom Austin & Dr Evelyn Pangeti. The Heritage School is divided into three sections, the Infant department (2-6+ years), the Junior Department (7-12+ years), and the Senior Department (13-18+). Pupils may join the school at a variety of ages as places become available, but the main entry points are 2 years old (Nursery) and 13 years old (Form 1) when we have two new classes in each age group starting every January.
