Vainona High School

Vainona High School accepted its first 150 pupils in January 1974.

The founder-head-master was Mr. William (Bill) A. Staude. In 1997, the school had one of the best O’level pass rates in Zimbabwe. Current Headmaster D P Makanza.last [[headm ,Mr Wisdom Mudariki and Mr Mlambo.

Many famous Zimbabwe sports personalities attended school at VHS or Vainz/Vains as it is commonly known. The school was attended by Andy Flower, the Zimbabwean cricket player, before he moved to St Georges.
